There is a TON of creativity going on here in our hometown and that creativity is often specifically reflected in the wide range of musical talent that is alive and well here. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.megandaviesmusic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Megan Davies<\/em><\/a> is a vibrant example of that talent.<\/p>\n<p>Megan Davies is a Nashville-based, Alt-Pop, singer-songwriter originally from Harrisburg, PA. She graduated from Belmont University where she studied song-writing and classical guitar. During the summer of 2013, Megan began uploading acoustic covers and mashups to YouTube\u200a\u2014\u200acollaborating with both her sister, Jaclyn, and other artist friends in Nashville. Since then, her creative stylings have garnered her over 163 million views and 1.1 million subscribers.<br \/>\nWhile Megan enjoys producing covers and mashups, her passion lies in writing and performing her own original music. Her debut original project, <a href=\"http:\/\/smarturl.it\/BadPoetryEP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bad Poetry EP<\/a> was released on 7\/28\/17. Her unique sound has been influenced by a combination of commercial pop, indie folk and experimental rock.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"843\" height=\"474\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Or9C6a02taU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4>In April 2016, Megan was the featured Artist for the Spotify curated playlist \u201cAcoustic Covers\u201d which received global visibility. Her songs on Spotify maintain over 2 Million listeners a month. In June 2015, her 3-song mashup \u201cSee You Again\/ Love Me Like You Do\/ Sugar\u201d reached #1 on both the US and Global Spotify Viral 50 charts. The Coffee House station on XM Radio voted Megan and fellow artist Emily Hackett\u2019s cover of Lorde\u2019s \u201cRoyals\u201d the Best Cover of\u00a02013.<\/h4>\n<p>All we can say is well done, Megan.
