About This Location

3000+ sq ft recording studio in a 100-year-old brick warehouse in East Nashville. Producer Brandon Metcalf built this studio in 2014 after his previous space, historic SoundShop Studio B on Music Row, was torn down. Salvaging the original wooden doors, soundboard, glass, music stands & other relics from the old space, Studio A is an eclectic blend of old & new and is full of charisma. *Near an active train track that passes by every now and then*

Incredible space. One of the largest rooms I've seen when it comes to listening/mixing rooms in a recording studio. Highly recommend. The place looks great on camera and it was an ideal location to film in... the only thing people should be aware of (that I was not aware of) is that a train passes very close to the building about every hour - sometimes every half hour - which made recording audio a challenge during several parts of our session. Other than that, it was a perfect experience.

Our crew was very impressed with the studio space - it worked out quite well for the interviews we were filming. Luke was also incredibly helpful with getting details sorted ahead of time and being on-call if our crew needed anything. Should we be back in the Nashville area for future shoots, we'd definitely book South x Sea again!
