The former East Cooper Hospital (old OR and PACU) is located in Mount Pleasant- 10 minutes from downtown Charleston and 20 minutes from the airport. The 16,000 square foot facility used to be a fully functioning section of the hospital & still includes most of the original rooms & equipment. It is now mainly used for medical education & research labs using cadavers & synthetic models (no live patients) for medical device companies, sales reps, doctors, students, Etc.
