About This Location

A black box theatre inside Jones Hall, with mirrored walls behind its curtains and seating set out fresh for every production. A natural fit for small plays, dance pieces, readings, rehearsals, classes and talks, with a projector screen and lectern. Seating for about 90. Good to know: the layout changes with each production, and the Studio Theatre is booked on its own - a Jones Auditorium booking does not include it.

Notes from AVVAY

There's something timeless about the magic of a classic theater, and this venue brings that nostalgic, old-school performance atmosphere to life! With its dramatic stage lighting, dark theatrical backdrop, and intimate setting, this space offers a cinematic aesthetic that's perfect for vintage-inspired projects.
